As Christmas approaches, join us at The Cook's Place for an evening inspired by Charles Dickens and his connection to Malton. A regular visitor to the town, Dickens had close ties here, making it the perfect setting to celebrate one of his most loved Christmas tales, A Christmas Carol.
For this special supper club, Gilly invites you to take your seat at the table for an evening of delicious food and festive storytelling. Inspired by her love of food history, which led her to research recipes for Malton Museum’s recipe book, Malton Goes To Market, Gilly will bring a little culinary history to the evening. Expect a three-course menu inspired by the spirit of the season, with each course bringing a little flavour of A Christmas Carol to life.
With local and seasonal ingredients at its heart, this will be a relaxed, sociable evening of good food, good company and stories from Malton's literary past. A rather lovely way to celebrate the run-up to Christmas!
